Fortis Arbor Wood Grout

We spent years of research developing Fortis Arbor grout. We are the pioneers of wood tiles and only our grout allows for easy installation and maximum performance.

There are many grouts available that are considered flexible. Quartz-Lock and SpectraLOCK grouts for instance can handle even the most challenging stone or ceramic tile installations. They cannot however rebound after being compressed by the forces of wood. Eventually these grouts and others, including epoxy based grout, will crack and fail from the expansion and contraction of wood tiles compressing the grout joint.

Fortis Arbor grout looks and installs much like typical sanded tile grout. Our grout uses a special blend of flexible binders and fillers to achieve a grouting system that is waterproof, non toxic, resists staining, can be coated with wood finishes and expands and contracts along with the natural movement of wood. Fortis Arbor grout is available in two pre-mixed sizes and three colors to compliment our wood mosaic tiles, and virtually any wood installation:

Brick: A warm red-brown color that compliments rosewood, cherry, etc.
Coffee: A neutral medium brown color compliments most woods
Sand: A light neutral buff-brown color compliments bamboo, pine, etc.

Coverage

Coverage varies according to wood thickness and grout joint size and depth. To calculate coverage measure the grout joint width, times grout joint depth, times all grout joint lengths in inches (WxDxL) this will give you the volume of grout you need in cubic inches. Take this cubic inch number and multiply by 0.004329. This will give you volume in US Gallons. You can also find calculators from cubic inches to US Gallons online with a simple internet search.

We recommend adding 10% to 20% overage to your order to account for real world variation.
